Are you suffering from an itchy, flaky scalp? I will show you how to get rid of your flaky, itchy scalp with a simple herbal remedy. Itchy, flaky scalps can be caused by many things, but most often it is due to lifestyle, nutrition, or an allergic reaction to hair products. Many off-the-shelf products are loaded with chemicals that can cause more harm than good.

    Did you know?

Anti-dandruff shampoos often contain strong chemicals such as Sodium Laureth Sulphate, Propylene Glycol (used in antifreeze), or Silicone, which is often found in top-brand conditioners and adds an artificial shine to your hair. Apple Cider Vinegar, a great home remedy, has been used for many years to remove dandruff and itchy scalps. Use a mild, pH-balanced shampoo to wash your hair.

You don’t need to use a shampoo for dandruff, as the apple cider vinegar will slowly disperse the dandruff. Combine the apple cider vinegar and warm water (2 parts vinegar to 1 part water). You can also add essential oils like rosemary or lavender to the mixture to help clean your hair and add some fragrance.

    Remember

You can either apply the mixture directly to your hair or put it in a spray bottle and spray it onto your scalp. Apply the mixture to your hair and massage it in. It doesn’t matter if the smell bothers you, but it is not necessary to rinse it off. If you have a stubborn dandruff problem or a flaky scalp, you can use a stronger vinegar-water mixture.

You can even apply the vinegar directly to your scalp without diluting it. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse the cider off with mild, pH-balanced shampoo. To treat your dandruff, you’ll get the best results using raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. Lemon juice can be used in place of apple cider vinegar if you don’t have any. Itching can be soothed by essential oils. Applying Eucalyptus, German Chamomile, and Lavender Oils to the affected areas will relieve itching.
