Do not panic if you discover you have genital warts. Why? They can be treated with topical and surgical treatments, as well as home remedies. They are caused when the human pappilomavirus (HPV), is transmitted during sexual intercourse. HPV is a sexually transmitted infection that is highly contagious. They can be found anywhere in the genital area, including the anus, cervix and rectum.
Good to Know
They can be either flat or cauliflower-like in shape and can cause skin irritation, burning, and even bleeding during intercourse. Because the virus loves moisture, an infected area will be more moist than a healthy one. Many people with HPV don’t realize they have it until they start to notice symptoms like small red or pinkish bumps in their genitals. Although you may have the virus, your immune system is strong enough that you may not experience any symptoms of genital warts.
Home Remedies
There are home remedies that you can use if you are too embarrassed or nervous to go to the doctor. These home remedies are safe, effective, and can be used to fight genital warts. Although HPV cannot be eradicated completely, you can remove genital warts that are present on the surface. Make juice from onions slices and cover them with salt overnight.
Apply it to the infected areas until the warts disappear. Apply milky fig stem juice 2-3 times per day. Use a cotton ball to apply apple cider vinegar to the affected area. You should notice results within a few days. Oil (vitamin E) mixed with crushed garlic can be used to treat your problem areas at home. You can cover it with adhesive tape. Within a week, the wart or warts should be gone. Continue treatment until they stop.
Proper Diet
A diet high in folic acid, beta-carotene, such as vegetables like squash, tomato, raddish, and mango, which are orange, red, and yellow, is recommended. Dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach, cabbage, and other leafy vegetables are highly recommended.
Whatever treatment you choose, it is important to act quickly and not wait to see what happens. If you are suffering from serious warts and the home remedies do not work, you should contact your doctor immediately to discuss a permanent solution. You don’t want to wait too long and suffer severe consequences.
