Let’s keep it simple and let’s be smart about it. There are two facets of anxiety you will need to understand. One. Stress is what happens in your body, not the external situation.

Take note

The stress response is what happens inside you according to your interpretation or your reaction to the situation or circumstances. Your perception is reality! Learning how to control your perception will be vital to managing your anxiety. Two. The stress response to the situation is neither good nor bad in and of itself. It depends upon the situation or circumstances. For instance anxiety is good when it protects us in a dangerous situation or when it prevents us from doing dumb things! You also need to know that the circle of control (imagine a bull’s eye target with three circles on it).

The outer circle is where many spend a lot of time. This is the subject of concern. This area comprises things we can not control or influence. Traffic, weather or wars as illustrations. There’s absolutely no use worrying about things you can not control. The region of influence is the place where we could have some type of influence but we aren’t really in control. The subject of control is what we should strive for. In this area we can control and direct what happens in our life. We can control what we eat, think, how we speak, how we proceed, who we choose to interact with, how we respond to a circumstance, our work habits, study habits, etc..

Keep in mind

Please understand this is where peace of mind and confidence come from and where anxiety, worry and nervousness leave us. An upside down triangle diagram shows how many live their life in terms of stress reduction. They spend too much running around putting out fires, from control and on edge. This is the very best portion of the triangle. Some have learned basic techniques of stress management or anxiety reduction by changing their perception.

They feel somewhat more in control. This is the center section. And finally, a couple of focus on balancing their physiology, that’s the most vital and paramount aspect for reducing anxiety. This is the foundation of this triangle. What do you notice about this upside down triangle manner of living? Does it seem unbalanced? Like it might easily fall over and crash? Well it can! Please do not live your life like this. It’s unhealthy and it is no fun! I am able to share with you some very simple and basic alterations that I know will help you. A much better, more inviting and healthier way to live is where you concentrate on your foundation. Imagine the usual triangle.

The center fundamental pillar of anxiety reduction is balancing and controlling your physiology- your foundation. I feel that is absolutely crucial and necessary and miss it completely. They do not teach this in college or the work area. This aspect you have plenty of control over. This places you in a state that is proactive, making you feel great and builds confidence in addition to gives you peace of mind. I call this the stress reduction base model. Balancing your physiology sets the”tone” to the rest of the facets of stress reduction. It’s the foundation for the other elements of stress reduction. It’s the foundation! It features regular and proper amounts of sleep and exercise, blood sugar and insulin management, reducing toxicity etc.. Get this right and the other regions come much simpler and acute stress is not quite as traumatic or stressful. It’s No big deal! You will enjoy life more. If you overlook this component you’ll have excess stress, be quite unbalanced and likely to”crashing”.

Changing your perception is also a proactive measure that puts you in control and is essential for the entire stress reduction procedure. This can help attract more peace of mind, joy and happiness to your life. Stress management and stress reduction techniques are learnable skills all of us must learn and master! And lastly, dealing with extreme stress or stressful circumstances. This is the “putting out fires” or the “treatment” phase. This is a reactive stage. We do not have much control over when these events happen so we will need to learn new approaches and techniques for”handling” them when they do occur. Build a strong solid base -“Balance your physiology”.

And when necessary apply the “treatment” the intense stress management techniques you will learn. I need to ask you a question, what would happen if you learned some new approaches? How would your life improve? What would happen in case you actually mastered and learned how to take care of your acute stress? How would that change your outlook on the world?
