The following sinus symptoms can help you identify if you suspect you have a sinus infection. These symptoms are common. There are four types of sinuses. These cavities are filled with air. They are connected to the space between the nose & the nasal passage. They are there to protect the skull, reduce its weight, and allow the voice to resonate in it. These sinus cavities are known as frontal. They are located in the forehead, maxillary behind the cheekbones, ethmoid between the eyes, and sphenoid deeper behind the eyes.
Låt oss förstå det
The sinuses protect you against foreign organisms such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and pollutants. Any of these organisms can stick on the mucous, the cilia (little hairs), and the cells lining your sinuses and cause sinus infections. Your symptoms may also help you determine which set of sinuses are affected. It is possible to have a sinus infection if you feel unwell, are tired more often, or think you have a cold.
It can be confusing to see how many symptoms of a cold mimic symptoms of a sinus infection. It is possible to identify the cause with some detective work. A sore throat is usually caused by a sinus infection, irritation or a mild strep throat.
Vad ska man göra?
Gargling with a little salt water (which we call saline solution in hospital) will help you tell the difference. One-half teaspoon salt to one cup of warm or pure spring water. It’s possible that the sinus drainage has caused the irritation and soreness. You may experience the following symptoms: fatigue, tiredness that isn’t explained, nasal congestion, drainage from the back of the throat into your nose, pressure or pain in the area of teeth and cheeks, jaw, forehead, top of the head, headaches when you stand up or lie down. This will depend on the set of sinuses involved.
It is possible to treat a sinus infection or problem. These are just some of the symptoms that can help you identify if you have sinusitis or a cold. You will feel better soon. You can also get some relief at home. You don’t need to suffer.
