    If you’re anything like I, you’ve likely tried many diets in your life, some with success. I have lost 7 kg in the past seven weeks. I just returned from Ukraine, where I spent a week in love with the girl I dreamed of. Although she doesn’t seem to care much about my weight, I am in love and I want to look good for her the next time we meet. It’s amazing that I have lost 7Kgs already, but it’s not enough. I plan to lose 20Kgs in the next 20 weeks. For the past few days, I have been trying to figure out how I can accomplish this goal.

    Let’s see…

    I returned from Ukraine on Wednesday evening, and have not eaten since then. Thursday was a day of 5 slices of bread and one night of fish with rice. Friday night I ate another couple of slices of bread, and then had sushi. It’s now 3:00pm Saturday, and I have only eaten boiled vegetables so far. As I was eating the vegetables, I began to wonder why it was so hard to say no to pizza, hamburgers, and my favorite junk food, Kentucky Fried Chicken. The simple answer to my question is that I am in love. This girl lives 10,000 km from me. How we will ever be together is still a mystery to us, but I am always thinking about her.

    I can’t wait to call her and tell her “Hey Larisa! I have lost 10Kgs”! The 7Kgs I lost recently is the same. I began to diet the day I booked my plane ticket to visit Larisa. My motivation was to lose a few kilograms before we met. In 1997, I lost 11Kgs in just 26 days. It’s quite impressive, but I only achieved it because I read Unlimited Power by Anthony Robbins. Although Anthony only mentions weight loss in a small section of the book, the entire book was very inspirational to me. After reading the book, I felt confident and started the diet immediately.

    Losing Weight

    After losing weight for a few years, I was back at 133Kgs in December 2006. I was also in love at that time and lost a lot of weight quickly because I wanted to look good for her or at least better. Halfway through 2007, I realized that our relationship was not going to work. I stopped following the diet and gained some of the weight back. As I write this article, I assume you are as familiar with the roller coaster ride of weightloss as I am. What I found out this afternoon was that inspiration was the key to my weight loss in all three cases.

    Anthony Robbins is not the right type for me, as he is of the wrong gender. It is not love, but a desire to lose weight. Get inspired. Find a reason to lose weight, and keep your mind on it. If it’s love, it’s easy because you can’t help thinking about the other person all day. Use the fact that you are not in love as an inspiration. It would be so much easier to find love if your self-confidence and self-esteem are high. I am motivated and will not stop until I lose at least 20 kgs.
